Allan James "Jim" Dalgleish

Passed away peacefully at the TriLake Health Centre, Killarney MB, with his sons at his side on Sunday November 16, 2025 at the age of 80 years, Allan James “Jim” Dalgleish.

Jim leaves to mourn his passing his two sons John of Rapid City MB, and Dale (Karen) of Ninette MB, along with his two grandchildren Dexter & Hayley as well as numerous extended family members.  Jim was predeceased by his wife Margarete ‘Marge’ on August 23, 2019.

Jim grew up in the Shilo area, where he met his wife Margarete, and they were married on May 2, 1964. His employment with Canadian National Railway brought him to the Belmont area in 1970, where the family spent the majority of their time. Jim was always active with coaching minor sports, along with leadership in the Boy Scouts. In 1990, Jim and Marge moved to a hobby farm North of Ninette, where they enjoyed their many exotic animals. As they moved closer to retirement, they moved to Baldur where they met many new friends. After Marge’s passing, Jim moved to Brandon, where he currently resided. Jim enjoyed many different hobbies during his life, such as working with crafts, woodworking, stained glass, and especially the many animals he and Marge had on their hobby farm. Jim was very proud when his grandchildren Dexter and Hayley came into his life, and he always felt special when they referred to him as “Pappa” whenever they got together.

Cremation has taken place and Jim’s family will celebrate his life privately.
