It is with great sadness that we announce the death at the Glenboro Personal Care Home on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, of Dolores Patricia MacLean, née Christie, beloved wife of Don MacLean (predeceased) and mother of son, Christie (Chris) (predeceased), and daughter, Kathryn Dawn Sloat (Steve).

 She was a grandmother to Karli (Bobby), Haley (Tanner), and Ryon, and great-grandmother to three beautiful great-granddaughters: Ashlynn, Evelynn, and Oaklynn.

 Dolores was born in Sudbury, Ontario, to Robert and Opal Christie (both predeceased) and was sister to Dorothy Cartledge (Bill) (both predeceased).

 She was a long-time employee of The Royal Bank of Canada at Regent and Hazel Streets in Sudbury and enjoyed interacting with her customers until retiring in 1994 to her favorite place, her cottage on Lake Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island. She resided there until moving to Elliott Lake, Ontario, to be closer to her sister and brother-in-law. When they both passed away, she remained there for a few more years until deciding to move closer to her daughter and her family in Glenboro, Manitoba.

As per her wishes, there will not be a memorial or funeral service. She will be laid to rest with her husband Don in Park Lawn Cemetery in Sudbury at the earliest opportunity.

 In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
