Doreen Cecile Simone (Van Damme) Van Den Bussche

Doreen Van Den Bussche of Swan Lake, MB, passed away surrounded by family and friends at the Foyer Notre Dame Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the age of 74 years.

Doreen was a passionate teacher with a career spanning 37 years. Family was very important to Doreen. She was married to her husband Nelson for 53 years, and she enjoyed raising their three children and spending time with their seven grandchildren.

Doreen leaves to mourn her passing husband Nelson of Swan Lake, MB, children Tina (Devron) Dittmer of High Level, AB, Neil (Jackie) Van Den Bussche of Swan Lake, MB and Lisa (Triston) Ramsden of Grande Pointe, MB, grandchildren Brooke, Hunter, Trapper, Gunner, Lane, Brynn and Jack, sister Marlene (John) Marginet of Holland, MB and brother Robert (Andrea) Van Damme of Bruxelles, MB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Yvonne (nee De Koninck) Van Damme and sister Diane Van Damme.

Prayers will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 7:00 pm at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Swan Lake, MB.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church with Father Jean-Marcel Kabongo as Celebrant. Eulogy at 1:45 pm prior to Mass. Interment will follow in the St. Martin of Tours Parish Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will be held in the Bruxelles Community Hall.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
