Duncan & Bernice McLaren Obituary

Bernice Isabelle McLaren passed away at the Baldur Personal Care Home on Saturday June 11, 2022 at the age of 79 years. Her husband Duncan Wesley McLaren passed away at his residence on Friday August 19, 2022 at the age of 83 years, Duncan Wesley McLaren, both of Baldur, MB.

Duncan & Bernice leave to mourn their five children; Cheri McLaren (Wade Heath) of Melita, MB, Trevor McLaren of Baldur, MB, Deborah McLaren (Earl Tario) of West Bay, NS, Denise (Brandon) Kurucz of Calgary, AB, Kent (Juvy) McLaren of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren Brooklyn, Scarlet, Hailee & Wesley.

They are also survived by Duncan’s sister-in-law Margaret McLaren of Killarney, MB, Bernice’s six siblings Ken (Sue) Malyon of Perth, ON, John (Sue) Malyon of Calgary, AB, Sharon (Mark) Masse of Starbuck, MB, Anne (Ron) Chesla of Winkler, MB, Barbara Malyon of Glenboro, MB, Robert Malyon of Brookdale, MB, as well as numerous extended relatives & friends.

They were predeceased by Duncan’s parents William & Doris McLaren & Bernice’s, mother Anne Malyon (nee Shearer) & father Lloyd Malyon, Bernice’s & brother Ross Malyon and stepmother Clara Malyon and Duncan’s brother Murray McLaren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Duncan & Bernice on Saturday October 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Baldur United Church with Sharon Hamilton officiating. A reception will follow in the Baldur Memorial Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.
