Celebration of Life - Evelyn Stephenson
Passed away at the Glenboro Personal Care Home on Tuesday July 25, 2023 at the age of 102 years, Evelyn Margaret Stephenson (nee Campbell), of Belmont, MB.
Evelyn leaves to mourn her passing her sister Vivian Shelton of Edmonton, AB, son Brian & Sylvia Stephenson of Meadow Lake, SK, daughter Dixie & Doug Thompson of Killarney, MB, son Barry & Brenda Stephenson of Belmont, MB, son Del & Bev Stephenson of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren Vicki Foster, Travis & Brenda Foster, Tracy & Mike Gordichuk, Kim & James Barras, Ben, Emelia & Breanna Stephenson, step grandchildren Chad & Jacki Berry & Christine & Darren Bentham; great grandchildren Taylor Foster, Blake Gordichuk, Ayden & Kyan Barras, Wyatt & Hayden Foster, step great grandchildren Jenna & CJ Berry, Noah & Sebastian Bentham; and by great great grandchildren Dominick, Jayden & Amaya Foster.
Evelyn will be missed by her nieces & nephews and extended families, special friends Pat & Jody Valde whom they affectionally call her “Mama Bear” and other close friends.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Glenn, September 30, 1997, sister Pearl (Les Oakes), brother Roy & Dorothy Campbell, brothers-in-law Morley (Helen), Leo (Margaret), Les (Mary), Cecil (Egwen), Grant (Ruth), and sister-in-law Joyce & Chuck Walmsley.
Evelyn grew up at the family farm north of Belmont, MB, with her parents Robert & Margaret Campbell. In 1944 she married Glenn Stephenson and continued to farm south of Belmont. They raised their four children on the farm & retired to Belmont in 1985. After Glenn’s passing, Evelyn moved to the Belmont Manor for a few years before moving to the Personal Care Home in Glenboro, MB.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 29, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro, MB, with Sharon Hamilton officiating. Interment will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Belmont, MB, followed by a reception in the Belmont Community Hall. Everyone is welcome.
