Isabelle Dowd Obituary
Peacefully on Saturday September 1, 2018 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, with family at her side, we sadly announce the passing of our mom, Isabelle Margaret Dowd.
Isabelle was born in Glenboro MB, the eldest of six children to Herbert & Sarah Goodine. She was raised in Winnipeg & on December 29, 1951 married Nelson Dowd.
They began their married life in Swan River MB for a short period of time before moving to Glenboro.
Isabelle was predeceased by her parents Bert (2001) & Sadie (1980), husband Nelson (1981) & son Abbey (2011). She was also predeceased by her brothers Jim (Pauline) Goodine, Bill (Gerry) Goodine and sisters-in-law Elsie (Ben) Rubin, Hazel (Walter) Drinkwater & Beryl (Ellis) Berry.
Isabelle leaves to mourn her children Morley of Glenboro, May (Rick) Cockle of Thompson MB, Dorothy (Brian) Robertson of Carberry, Darlene Marsh (Barry Bugara) of Winnipeg & George (Andrea); grandchildren Sarah "Donna", Jennifer (Tony), Jason (Brook), Ryan, Colby, Peyton and Brianna; great grandchildren Brian, Laura, Zak, Jeremy, Raelynn, Billy & Joseph.
She also leaves to mourn her passing brother Lenwood (Jocelyn) Goodine of Winnipeg, sisters Mavis (George) Thompson of Calgary AB & Irene (Dwayne) Drinkwater of Glenboro as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members across the provinces as well as friends at home.
Funeral services will be held in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro, on Friday September 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Sharon Hamilton officiating. Interment to follow in the Glenboro Cemetery.
Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Isabelle's memory to a charity of choice.
