Passed away at the Carberry Personal Care Home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the age of 77 years, Kenneth Harry Allen, of Carberry, MB. formerly of Pelican Lake, Belmont, MB.
Ken leaves to mourn his passing Tracy Rourke of Portage la Prairie, MB, granddaughters Alexis, Mercedes & Bianca and by many friends in the area.
He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen (nee Geldart) in 2008, daughter Tanya Williamson in 2011 and by his parents Harry & Marjorie Allen.
Ken was born May 15, 1948 in Yarmouth NS and traveled with family through military until the last posting at CFB Shilo. He joined the Militia while in New Brunswick and again at the 26th Field Regiment in Brandon, MB.
Later on, Ken became an Industrial Mechanic & Millwright in 1981 and worked for Simplot, Carnation, Nestles, Midwest Foods and McCains.
Ken was a member of the Manitoba Muzz Loader Assoc. Black Powder and was a founding father of getting the club started in 1980 and re-enacted Camping Rendez-vous & living at Spruce Woods Park. He was also a member of the Manitoba Wildlife Federation.
A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro, MB. Donations can be made in memory of Ken to the Carberry Plains Health Centre & Care Home for the wonderful service provided during his stay due to his stroke, heart attack & cancers.
