Lawrence 'Wade' Rogers Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce that Wade Rogers of Shilo, MB passed away with his family by his side at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the age of 58 years.

Wade leaves to mourn his passing his wife Roxanne (nee Anstey), daughters Samantha and Victoria and grandsons Andrew and Felix, all of Shilo, MB, sisters Kelly (Leo) Anstey and Peggy Boyd, mother-in law Elaine Anstey ‘Mah’, and nieces and nephews Chad ‘Ella-la-la-la’, Jessica ‘Blanche’, Faron ‘Smear’, Matt ‘Bucky’, Cassandra ‘Delcie’, Scott ‘Bummer’, Rhyan ‘Nog’ and Zachary ‘Tardman’ as well as numerous family members and friends from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

Wade was predeceased by his parents George and Audrey (nee Jenkins) Rogers, sister Lottie Stuckless and father-in-law Malcolm Anstey.

Wade was a man who had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of the world around him. He found great peace in the outdoors and enjoying the beauty of the seasons. He carried a deep connection to the natural world that shaped who he was.

At home, his love was most often expressed through cooking and baking. The kitchen was his happy place—a space filled with laughter, delicious aromas, and the quiet satisfaction of creating something to share. He took pride in bringing people together around the table, where stories were told, memories were made, and everyone felt welcome.

But above all else, his greatest joy and proudest legacy were his two grandsons. They were the light of his life, the center of his heart, and his greatest gift. He cherished every moment spent with them—whether teaching, laughing, or simply being present—and the love he gave them will live on in who they become.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all those who provided exponential care for Wade at the end of his journey. These include the staff of Brandon Regional Health Centre, Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre (SICU), and the flight crew of STARS Air ambulance.

Memorial services for Wade will be held in Twillingate, NL. Details will be announced when they are available.
