Lloyd George Kilmury

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lloyd George Kilmury of Wawanesa, MB on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the age of 80 years.

Lloyd was a very hard-working and dedicated man. After 35 years of service, he retired as Service Manager for Manitoba and Nunavut at Powell Equipment Limited in 2001, having started his career with the company as a heavy-duty mechanic apprentice. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and passions, especially golf.  

Although Lloyd may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to be recognized for always being there for his family and friends. He was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity, and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. 

In his later years Lloyd's health was affected by both Macular Degeneration and Cancer, but he never complained and did the best he could to enjoy life to the fullest. As he would always say...."you have to play with the cards you're dealt!"

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma, his children, Carol and Michael (Robin), his brother, Ken, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at the Treesbank Community Church at 1:00 p.m. A light lunch will be served immediately after the service at the Treesbank Community Hall.
