Lorna Irene (Cowlthorp) Sampson

Lorna Sampson, (nee Cowlthrop), passed away at the age of 86 with her family at her side on Saturday, May 4, 2024 after a long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Alzheimer’s Disease. 

Lorna was born on the family farm north of Dunrea, MB on June 2, 1937.  Lorna enjoyed the great outdoors and spent a lot of time at Mark and Cheryl’s cottage in Clear Lake, MB.  Lorna worked at the Wawanesa  Mutual Insurance company for many years.

She leaves to mourn her children; Tari Moore, her sons Chad and Chase (Kate). Cheryl Baynton (Mark), their children Tasha (Derek), Teagan (Craig) and Dylan, Kevin Sampson (Nancy) and his children Sherah and Jonny, along with her very special great grandchildren. Also left to mourn are her sister Audrey Wilton, sister in law Joy Lalonde and several nieces and nephews.  Tasha was the favourite!

Lorna was predeceased by her husband Garth of 59 years, her parents Arnett and Lena Cowlthrop, brother Clare (Ester) and brother in law Hugh Wilton.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Vicki Lee, the nurses and staff at the Wawanesa Personal Care Home for their wonderful care.
