Passed away at the Baldur Personal Care Home on Thursday August 11, 2022 at the age of 85 years, Marcel Lucien Geirnaert of Mariapolis, MB.

Marcel leaves to mourn his passing his son Randy (Deborah Murray) of Mariapolis, MB, daughter Shelley (Garry) Hacault of Mariapolis, MB, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Doreen Andries of Baldur, MB and brother Donald (Marlene) Geirnaert of Mariapolis, MB as well as numerous extended family. 

He was predeceased by his loving wife Fleurette (nee Desrochers) of 58 years, his parents Julien and Alma (nee Marent) Geirnaert and his little dog Oreo.

Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Friday August 26, 2022 at 11:00 in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro, MB. Following the service a reception held at the C.E. Building of the Glenboro United Church.  A private family interment will take place following the reception.  The service will be available to view on line later in the day at www.willmorchapel.com.  

Memorial donations can be made in Marcel’s memory to Parkinson’s Canada, 414 Westmount Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2J 1P2 or to the Activities Department of Baldur Personal Care Home, Box 128, Baldur, MB, R0K 0B0.
