Piet van Dijken

Passed away at the Glenboro Health Centre on Friday December 15, 2017 at the age of 92 years, Piet van Dijken, of Glenboro MB. Piet leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Lorelie Mitchell, son Robert van Dijken of Whitehorse Yukon & daughter Joan (Don) Hastey of St. Catharines Ont; grandchildren Kevin (Lisa) Hastey, Shelly (Gordon) Donaldson, Brian (Lauren) Hastey & Sarah (Steve) Hastey; great grandchildren Honor, Caleb, Ethan, Aiden, Joshua, Christian, Noah, Colton and Nathaniel; sisters Annemarie Klinkenberg of Kelowna B.C., Hendrien Kippers of Saint John N.B. and Tineke (Stuart) Brown of Ottawa Ont as well as extended relatives. Piet was predeceased by his first wife Maria "Miep" in 1997, parents Heike & Anna van Dijken and brothers-in-law Hans Klinkenberg & Roelof Kippers. A Celebration of Piet's life will be held on Tuesday December 19, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro, with Pastor Laurel Seyfert officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held in the C.E. Building. Everyone is welcome. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Piet's memory to the Glenboro & Area Foundation, Box 147 Glenboro MB. R0K 0X0.
