Passed away at the Rock Lake Health Centre, Crystal City MB, on Thursday November 8, 2018 at the age of 90 years, Susie Anna Van Damme (nee Wiens), of Pilot Mound, formerly of Hilton - Belmont MB.
Susie leaves to mourn her passing her five children Mary Anne (Neil) McLaughlin of Kanata, ON, Don (Shelley) Van Damme of Nanoose, B.C., Roy (Myrna) Van Damme of Fort St. John B.C., Hazel Van Damme of Winnipeg, Doug (Valerie) Van Damme of Laurier, MB, daughter-in-law Carol Van Damme of Belmont;
13 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren; Sheldon (Annabel) McLaughlin & Sophia & Fraser, Shona (Craig) Thomas & twins Claire & William; Crystal (Jarrod) Ashby & Tyson & Jordyn, Carla Van Damme, Cindy (Artur) Kominek & Oliver & Jessica, Wyatt (Allysa) Van Damme; Trevor Van Damme, Andrew (Audra) Van Damme & Claire, Michael (Caroline) Van Damme & Mark & Connor, Vicky (Andy) Temple & Annabelle & Atticus; Kelly (Kent) Evans & Jordan; Natalie (Oleksa) Balko, Miriam Van Damme as well as numerous extended family & friends.
Susie was predeceased by husbands Maurice Van Damme & Roy Gustafson & by son Ed Van Damme, parents Abraham & Maria Wiens, sisters Agnes (Jim) Mather, Mary (Nels) Clark, Christine Toews, brothers Henry (Pat), Abe (May), Jake (Emily) Peter (Erica), Dave, John, Isaac (Emily) & Bill.
Cremation has taken place. Susie will be interred with her husband Maurice in the Hilton Cemetery at a later date. A Celebration of her life will take place in the summer of 2019. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Susie's memory to the Prairie View Lodge Foundation, Apt. 26, 424 Broadway Ave. Pilot Mound, MB R0G 1P0 or to the Hilton Heritage Fund, c/o Brenda Duncan, Box 204 Ninette, MB R0K 1R0.
