Shawn Robert Manning

Passed away at his residence on Tuesday July 5, 2022 at the age of 53 years, Shawn Robert Manning, of Belmont, MB.

Shawn was born in Glenboro on September 5, 1968, the youngest of three boys to Ron and Lynda Manning.

He attended school in Belmont and Glenboro and worked for a brief time at Drings rafters in Boissevain before working with his father Ron and brother Gord at Manning Feedlot Cleaning for 15 years.

Later, Shawn decided to make a career change and attended Red River College in Winnipeg where he attained his mechanics certification.

Upon completion of his education, he gained employment with the Prairie Spirit School Division at Holland, MB as a mechanic for the school buses and was with the division for close to 15 years.  Unfortunately, his health began to deteriorate and was forced to retire at a young age two years ago.

Shawn leaves to mourn his passing his brothers Daryle & wife Tracey of Belmont, MB, Gord & wife Barb of Ninette, MB, nieces & nephews Jason (Jennalee), Cody, Tess and by great nephew Rhett & great niece Jade as well as extended relatives & friends. 

Shawn was predeceased by his father Ron Manning in 1999, mother Lynda Manning (nee Andrews) in 2021 and by special friend Fran Belanger in 2008.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday July 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Hillside Cemetery, Belmont, MB, with Sharon Hamilton officiating.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations can be made in Shawn’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st St., Brandon, MB R7A 2W8.
